Hi! I’m Sonia, a registered dietitian and nutritionist with a passion for making wholesome eating both simple and exciting. My goal is to create personalized nutrition plans that honor your cultural traditions, health goals, and family dynamics, making healthy living a natural part of your life.
Born and raised in Brazil, my love for food is deeply rooted in vibrant, flavorful cuisine. After moving to the USA to pursue my undergraduate and master’s degrees in food and nutrition, I’ve had the privilege of living in Colorado, Texas, Utah, Nebraska, and internationally in Spain and the Dominican Republic. Each place I’ve called home has introduced me to new culinary traditions and deepened my passion for food as a tool for both health and joy.
Traveling is one of my greatest passions, and I’m always eager to discover new flavors and foods from around the world. This passion has inspired my upcoming blog and cooking classes “Traveling Around the World with Sonia.” From Spanish tapas to Latin American and Caribbean dishes and even Scandinavian gatherings, I’ll be sharing global recipes that celebrate different cultures and bring joy to the kitchen.
I’m working toward my certification in Culinary Medicine, where I blend my love of cooking with evidence-based nutrition to help people prevent and manage disease through food. As a Certified Diabetes Care & Educator Specialist (CDCES) and Renal Dietitian, I’ve helped countless patients improve their health through personalized meal plans, reducing their need for medications and hospital visits, and ultimately enhancing
their quality of life.

If you’re ready to travel the world through food while crafting a healthy,
delicious lifestyle, I’m excited to guide you on this journey!
